Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!!
Trick-or-treatin with neighbors & the first fire in our fireplace (this yr) while drinking hot cider.
It was as amazing as it sounds. :)

Jacob was a tiger.
He roared at anyone & everyone.
I think he scared this one particular lady.
Pretty much it was the best night of his life.
Eating sugar & more sugar while being a tiger & roaring really loud.
He's been practicing the roar for at least 2 months.

Parker was a shark (for 10 min) & got cold, so next he was a chicken.
Cute lil shark.
Look at that tail!
And that chicken!
I could gobble him up.

Radnor Lake

Radnor Lake.
Hard to beat Radnor in the fall.

Last year, I have memories of Parker chillin/sleeping in the Ergo carrier since he was a month old.
Jacob walked & rode in the blue pack.

Today, Jacob ran everywhere & Parker was in the pack, trying to jump out at every sight of a dog.
Jacob roared at everyone we passed, 'practicing' for Halloween... he's gonna be a tiger.
Active boys. :)
Love our lil crew.
We love enjoying God's beauty at Radnor as a family.

Lollipops.

Cute lil turtle hangin by the side of the trail

Pickin wildflowers to give to me.  Precious.

Gentry's Farm & Friends

No one can miss Gentry's Farm in the fall.
Nashville tradition for so many people.
Sooooo I took the boys on Monday for a morning of fun with friends & pumpkins & hayrides.

The barn was set up with lil activities for the kids.
You could put on an apron & 'cook' or head to the cash register to pay for your pretend food.

Parker loooooved seeing all the cows we passed while on the hayride.

Lil boys checking out the pond.

Then we headed over to Julianne's house since it was a few minutes away to hang with these buddies

Silly crazy boys.

Hot chocolate spilling everywhere...
boots & more boots...
'hugs' that end in choke holds & wrestling matches...
throwing rocks in the river.

Levi & Jeremiah are some treasured friendships for sure.

Parker - 1 year update

Parker turned 1 last week! yay!!

Birthday Party

We had a little family party at the park this year for Parker.
We brought a picnic dinner & some balloons & cupcakes to celebrate our sweet boy.

We spotted some dogs which brought lots of smiles...

We posed for some pictures which brought a lot of faces like this...

And Parker's favorite part were the cupcakes.

Here I go, yall ready for this?!...

Double fistin' it.
(This kid can eat, yall.)

And since one wasn't enough, I'm going to take care of the whole tray
(Mom took pictures while the big boys were playing soccer)

Happy birthday to you, buddy.

Gotta lick your fingers..

and then stuff another one in your face. :)

And then rub it in your hair!!!
Who is ready to PARTYYY?!

After the sugar overload, we went to the playground to swing &
get some energy out before headin home.

1 Year Update
Personality/Likes:  Slightly cautious first time he does something, observant, sweet, points at things he is excited about.  Recently he loves dogs, has strong opinions of what he wants, is a climber.  He loves to eat... like really loves it.  Loves his bottle. He takes sticks/train pieces/any toy & pretends its a weapon... grunts & growls while pointing it.  Ticklish (only recently).  Has to sleep with his lovie.

Sleep:  Great sleeper.  Sleeps all night from 730pm to 7am most every night.  Takes 2 naps/day.

Size:  Weight 20.75 lbs  (38%)
Length 30.5 in  (70%)
Head 18.3 in  (60%)

Developement:  He is not walking yet, not standing on his own.  I've seen him a couple times stand by himself so I know he can do it. He loves to crawl up the stairs & back down (backwards).  He loves to climb up the slide & then slide down.  If a surface is prickly or not smooth, he'll crawl on his feet... or if he's trying to go fast. He says Ma-ma & Da-da and knows who we are... and knows who Jacob is.  He has 6 teeth (4 top, 2 bottom).  He got his first bloody lip yesterday, bumped on side of Jacob's bed (he's totally fine, don't worry grandmas).  He can clap & will raise his hands in the air when we say 'Praise the Lord.'  He likes to play peek-a-boo with Jacob at meals (under the table & pops his head up).  He doesn't love regular milk yet.

Here are a few more pics that capture the personality of Parker.

The face of excitement when we see Daddy mowing the grass in the front yard.

Oh hey silly boy!

Love to eat these flowers (ok yeah, weeds) from our yard.

 Playing peek-a-boo behind the tree

Climbing up the slide & then back down

Reading books with brother

Flinging mommy's hair tie across the room over & over.

Nothing like a summertime naked baby!

Parker's current crawl, how he gets somewhere fast.  All 4's.

Ohhhh heyyy 1-yr-old cutie!
