Jacob 18 Month Update

That's right folks, da boy is 1 1/2!  Can you believe it?!

Jacob is really really fun at this age.  He laughs a lot.  He loves to play hide&seek and he'll crack up if you catch him hiding.  Oh and 'hiding' means standing really still somewhere that we can usually see his whole head and/or body.   Over the last couple weeks, we've seen improvements with Jacob not pulling hair as much and he's starting to love being in the nursery on Sundays.  I think the separation anxiety is almost gone.

He loves to run & not look back.
Loves to laugh.
Loves to be tickled and be chased.
Loves to be outside.
Loves to sit in the drivers seat.
Loves to say 'No,no,no,no.'
Loves to read books and watch TV & baby Einstein video (I know, I know) and eat chase bugs outside.

He is learning to say more words (apple & key are the latest).
To share.
To give hugs.
To be gentle.
To not pull hair.
To climb on everything.

He doesn't like vegetables.
Or drinking water.
Or being left alone in a room.
Or being strapped in his carseat.

Jacob knows how to get a rise out of his momma each day, that's for sure!  Whether it's doing flips out of the window of his playhouse or splashing buckets of water out of the tub during bathtime while laughing his head off or running as fast as he can around the aisle at Home Depot when I put him down for 2 seconds.

He is strong-willed and determined.  He loves watching kids that are bigger than him and usually thinks he can take their toys (ends with a tug-of-war match with Jeremiah most days).

He loves basketballs and footballs and the 'tractor' (Chris' riding lawnmower).

We love playing in the leaves!!!!

Jacob & Levi... best buds.

Jacob still loves his passy.

He's a little worker bee whether its cookie cutters that he's found in a drawer or playing with mixing bowls & dry pasta.

Hey buddy, where are you going???

He may or may not be a parrot for Halloween (thanks A.Roark for the costume!)
Our neighbor asked if he was an Angry Bird.
We said yes he will be if we leave him in this costume much longer.

We love our little guy so much.
I love how he is more and more engaging each day.
He's soaking everything up like a sponge!
Happy 18 months, buddy!
