This big boy hit the 2 1/2 year mark last week!
Jacob is high energy and very passionate about life. He is easily excitable and loves doing anything you call 'an adventure' no matter what it is. He would drink 18 sippy cups a day if I let him. He isn't potty trained yet and he tells me that he'll go on the potty 'tomorrow', which means he's not ready yet. Anything he doesn't want to do, he tells me that we'll do it tomorrow. Anything he wants to do, he says 'Right now' in his deep southern twang.
His vocabulary has taken off the past couple months. It amazes me how he can follow a conversation, and he wants to talk through everything. We haven't quite hit the phase where I hear 'why?' every second but I bet it's coming soon. He is so inquisitive about new things and wants me to explain things. There are a few words/phrases that are super cute right now:
pewter = computer
pennies = pens
soggy = foggy
(most mornings lately I hear 'Mom, it's really soggy outside!')
lady pop = lollipop
'open it' = pull up shirt to scratch his back
OK ride = hayride
hold-jew-me = hold me
Jacob is growing up so fast and making us laugh each day along the way.
He loves to be silly!
He loves to be outside at any waking moment and usually this includes moments like this...
He's a good cuddler when he's tired or watching 'his shows' on TV.
This past summer, he LOVED going to the pool. Jumping in the big pool with daddy was a treat.

He loves holding baby brother...

and making fires in the fireplace ...

and pretending he's 18 yrs old helping dad in the yard.

He loves stuffing Krispy Kreme doughnuts in his face like his parents...

and being a big brother & giving Parker lots of kisses on the head...

And if we are keeping it real, this happens on a regular basis... 2 yr old tantrums :)
(Thank you Chris for being a fabulous dad to our boys!)
