4 Month Update

Yesterday we went to the doctor for the 4 month checkup and Jacob was a champ! He got 2 more shots and only cried for like 10 seconds. He did much better this time. We picked him up and he stopped crying and he was smiling within a couple minutes. Chris gave him a little pep-talk about bravery right before the shots; it must have worked. :) Here are the stats for our boy:

WEIGHT: 20 lbs. 10 oz. (99%)
HEIGHT: 27.5 inches (99%)
HEAD: 16.5 inches (36%)

Our big boy is getting even bigger! He's wearing 12 month clothes and eating every 2 - 4 hours (still only nursing). He's wearing size 4 diapers. We see a ton of drooling & chewing which might equal the start of teething. He can roll over from back to front, to left & right side. He's such a happy baby and loves to be sitting up or standing (with a little help of course)! He doesn't have a regular nap schedule yet... still go with the flow, nap times depend on what we're doing that day. Since he's rolling over at night, we took the crib bumper out. The doc said it's better to have a limb hanging out of the crib than get suffocated (very true!) so she recommended we go with no bumper since he's somewhat mobile. The newest fun thing we've realized about Jacob is his love for the dogs next door! They have 2 Boxers & Jacob will start smiling so big & laughing when he watches them come jump up on the fence to say hello to him.
