Last week we traveled with Chris to TN. We headed out on Monday night, stopped in Greensboro and hit the road to make it to Robbinsville. Jennifer and Rance were so kind again to host us at their house! One thing you should know about Jennifer & Rance is that they have the BEST food in their frig. It's always packed with homemade goodness & ready to feed an army. They also LOOOOOVE to cuddle with the kiddo! It's so fun for us to watch them love on Jake. In case you forgot, they live on the side of a mountain. Literally. And it's awesome. (can you tell we love going to visit them!??!)
This is their view...
And here is their 'neighborhood'. ok, one neighbor.
We ventured out in the morning towards Chattanooga.
We drove through the mountains in the rain and it was still gorgeous.
Jacob & I explored Lee University while Chris had a meeting there.
Fortunately the rain held off for the hour we were wandering around.
Let's just say it's a little awkward roaming around a college campus with a stroller.
It's official. I felt old. Really old.

We got all checked into the hotel & hungout while Chris called on some more customers. That evening we drove up to Lookout Mountain before it got dark aaaaaaand it was awesome. I've never seen anything like it! Houses built on rock, hangin off the side of a cliff. Gorgeous views. Every house is different... and huge... and expensive. :)
Here is the view from Covenant College.
Incredible!
Incredible!
Jacob and I explored downtown Chattanooga.
We walked over the pedestrian bridge and killed some time while Chris was working.
It was a gorgeous day but super chilly.
My partner in crime all bundled up!
We headed back to Robbinsville for another night with Jenni & Rance and then made it back home.
Overall we had a great trip, and Jacob did so well in the car that long.
Chattanooga is a great city with tons of stuff to do with kids. Everyone was super nice... so nice that you feel like you're best friends after 2 minutes. The city has a very active vibe. Lots of people were running and walking around lunch time. The river is gorgeous that runs through downtown. It's definitely a place I think we'll be visiting again. Might not ever live there but I can see Jacob enjoying the Aquarium and Discovery Museum down the road! ;)
