My mom and dad came into town last week for a few days! We had so much fun showing them parts of Nashville and exploring the Buttercup Festival (aren't you curious what that is?!) and spending time hanging out at our place. Dad had to travel to Indiana for business on Thursday so Mom & I were chillin' at the house, going on walks, and checking out historic Franklin with the Jakester. She made me an herb garden as our house-warming gift... doesn't get any better than fresh basil/rosemary/cilantro/parsley!!! So excited about this. Friday, we went to this awesome park we have close by called Crockett Park. We met up with some old friends of theirs for dinner that night too at Loveless Cafe, which was a lot of fun. The food and biscuits were amazing like always! Saturday was our big day of fun at the Buttercup Festival (I was pumped about this) and then Jacob's birthday party and a big date night for me & the Hubs! :) What a great week we had! Thanks for coming to visit!!!
Jacob giving us a wave as he was flying through the air, loving it every second!
Of course we had to make a strawberry recipe from the latest Southern Living magazine since Mom&Dad brought a huge bucket of hand-picked fresh strawberries.
Strawberry cream pie. Yes please.
Here is the whole crew for dinner.
And I know you were holding out for the Buttercup Festival. Well here you go...
