Jacob Update - 15ish Months

Jacob is our active, babbling, smiley 15 month old!  Here is an update on what's going on with this kiddo.

He has NO fear!
He likes all forms of water & heights.
He loves to blow bubbles in the pool & bathtub.
He prefers taking a shower instead of a bath.
He loves getting soakin' wet at any possible moment.
Here he is on the bunkbeds... Chris heard Jacob making loud noises like he was trying to get our attention.  Chris walked into the room to Jacob climbing half way up the ladder by himself and then Jacob started laughing his head off.   Of course I run in to see what is going on and have to take a picture instead of pulling him down off the ladder.

He runs around the house with things over his head & he can't see where he's going.  He'll run smack into the wall.  At the beach, the pink hat was the object of choice.  He also closes his eyes while he's walking/running and thinks he's invisible.  When he opens them, he starts cracking up.   :)

He was rocking this Rudolph cut on his nose for a couple weeks.
Boys will be boys.

Jacob loves to laugh...
(whoa, he needs a haircut at this point)

...loves to read....

 ... loves his lawnmower...

...and he loves all things with big wheels that make a lot of noise!!
Tractors.
Motorcycles (probably his favorite right now).
Big pickup trucks.
Firetrucks.
All things we stop & stare & point at no matter where we are in the world.

He has dropped his first nap so we are down to just afternoon naps for the most part.  This happened about 2 weeks ago and it's truly amazing for both of us.  We can actually get out & and run errands without having to be back in 30 minutes.  Our schedule includes a lot of park dates and swimming sessions at the Butlers pool.  He naps for 2-3 hours and he's sleeping about 11-12 hours at night... usually 8ish - 7:30am.

He's a great eater typically.  He has his days, just like any kid, where all he wants to do is drink his milk, but for the most part he eats pretty well.  He loves spaghetti & sliced turkey & cheddar cheese & avocado & applesauce (and homemade chocolate chip cookies, yep).  He LOVES goldfish and can see the package from a mile away.

Jacob runs across the room and gives Chris & I a hug if we hold out our arms and ask 'Jacob, can I have a hug?'

He can say 'Hi', 'Hot' (which comes out 'hoooooooooooooooot-ah' in a whisper), 'Ma-ma', and 'Da-da'

Jacob is a goober though.  He's kinda aggressive with other kiddos so we have to watch him closely.  He has stopped pulling hair as much (Levi still gets the brunt of that) but he likes to grab people's skin instead (see pic below).   We are trying to teach him to be gentle, especially with the girls.  He usually isn't being aggressive out of anger or frustration or trying to hurt the other person; he's just playing.  We are working on it.  :)

If I could sum up this stage in one word, it would be ACTIVE.
Jacob is on the go ALL the time, running everywhere.
He is a goofball at home and loves to be chased around the house.
At the park, I look up after 5 seconds & find Jacob running the other direction full speed without looking back.
He is quick.
He is loud.
He is so fun!

We love our little guy so much!
I love spending each day with this fun toddler and watching him grow up.
I have the best job, hands down.
Wouldn't trade it for anything in the world!
