Jacob turned 3!
WEIGHT: 32.5 lbs (60%)
HEIGHT: 37.25 in (46.5%)

No more terrible 2's.
No more forcing him to ride in the stroller/cart while in a store.
No more diapers or pull-ups.
No more intense fights to go to bed. (hopefully... right now we are good)
No more bribes with candy... oh wait. I was dreaming. This is still a very common thing. :)
This kid is joyful.
He laughs a LOT & is easily excitable.
He plays hard & sleeps hard.
He is passionate with everything in life.
Tantrums & dance parties & wrestling matches & singing songs all have the same level of intense passion.
He is inquisitive & talks in full paragraphs, especially when he's excited about something.
We are working on encouraging others with our words.
He uses words like hilarious & delicious in the right context.
The other day he asked me, 'Mommy will you marry me, and can we dance?'...
(My heart immediately melted & of course we had a little dance right there in the kitchen)
Multiple times a day I get asked 'Mommy, are you happy?' right after he has disobeyed.

He is just starting to manipulate & lie & pin us against each other if he wants something.
He remembers things that I forget.
He is thankful. Very thankful.
(Ex. He thanks me for washing his clothes all the time. 'Thank you, thank you, THANK YOUUU!')

He is a lot of fun.
We have entered a new phase of enjoying this rascal at a different level.
Biggest accomplishment of the year is that Jacob is potty trained!!!
Whoohoo!!!
He wears underwear all day & all night.
He loves to pee outside, (what guy doesn't!? ) and loves to tell me what he just peed on.
We started a couple weeks before his bday & he caught on really quickly. We never did pullups, went straight for underwear 100% of the time. He was ready! So thankful this was a smooth process with only a few major accidents. This momma is very grateful.
We are really into sports.
Baseball & golf are the favs but he loves them all.
Not so much into trains/coloring/puzzles/painting or using fine motor skills right now.
We are into running & bikes & scooters & all sports... thank goodness for good weather lately ;)
Outside is our happy place.
He loves to explore, especially when it involves water & getting extremely muddy.
Hey Buddy!
Are you a teenager?!, cuz you look like one here.
This is what Jacob looked like before his 3rd b-day party...
And during the party...
and this is what he looked like after his b-day party.
Chainsaw was the favorite present at the party.
Don't worry, it makes noise.
A lot of noise.
(If we get a chainsaw at 3, I'm a little scared to think about what he gets at age 10)
Spiderman tattoos.
Loves to 'help' mommy in the kitchen when it involves cookies as the final product.
Especially when we get to rock this awesome baking costume from Aunt Cizzles!
He is such a great brother!
He loves on Parker & helps him with his passy.
He loves to make Parker start cracking up.
He is silly around Parker & so proud of having a little brother.
(We say 'gentle' a lot & are working on hugs not looking like choke holds)
I pray they grow up to be such good friends.
Again, here is our teenager...
If you were wondering, Jacob has embraced the world of 'selfies'.

Yep that's our 3 yr old and we love him to pieces!
He is such a blessing in our family and brings us so much joy.
Thank you Jesus for giving us this silly & wonderful blessing!
