March - Family/Friends/Gatlinburg

March was filled with fun!
Friends and family came to stay with us.
We had a big weekend in Gatlinburg with 6 other fun families from Nashville, too.

HOT CIZZLES
The first weekend my sister, Carolyn (aka Aunt Cizzles/ Hot Cizzles) came to visit!  She brought a homemade birthday cake for my birthday and it was amazing.  Truly amazing. 3 whole layers of chocolate goodness.  I may have had a piece every day she was here. If you don't already know, Cizzles is an incredible baker and she gives cakes for birthday presents and no one has ever, everrrrr, wanted anything else after they taste their cake.  She loved on the boys and had Jacob laughing harder than I've ever heard him before.  We took her to the walking bridge and saw downtown Nashville.  We ate at Burger Up and drooled while devouring fried pickle chips. We had such a fun weekend and I wish  she lived closer!!!  Love you Cizzles.  Thanks for making the drive and loving on our fam!

 Isn't she beautiful!

RANCE & JENNIFER
The second week of March, Jennifer and Rance (and baby Jayden in the belly) came to visit!  They live in Robbinsville, NC and we haven't seen them in 2 years!!!  It was so good to catch up & spend some quality time with them and show them Leipers Fork and our church, etc. She did a great post with lots of fun pictures, click HERE.  I met Jennifer in college and our friendship has grown over the years because of our love for JESUS.  It's amazing.  When we talk, it's like we live around the corner from each other & see each other all the time.  Rance is hilarious and Jacob was threatening to elbow slam him in his eye before he got here.  They had lots of wrestling matches .... and we laughed all weekend... and ate a bunch of food.  It was an awesome weekend!  Love you guys!

GATLINBURG
7 Families. 29 people. 15 kids under 5 yrs old, 5 of them babies. 1 House.
It was loud. It was crazy. Everyone still loves each other....
And we would all do it again!!!!

We hit up Kara's parent's farm on the way up.  They have 400 (or so) acres and it's gorgeous land.  The kids played games and went on a scavenger hunt and rode horses and rode 4wheelers and went fishing in a stocked pond.  It was a perfect day to let the kids ride horses and get their energy out so they would take naps in the car on the way up to Gatlinburg.

And then we were off to Gatlinburg for the weekend....

The weather was ok for part of Saturday so we played some baseball outside in the morning and went into town to check it it out and eat lunch.   The rain held off just long enough for us to enjoy seeing the town for a few hours and eat at Mellow Mushroom which was such a blessing! Jacob had the biggest tantrum of his life but other than that it was fabulous. :)   It started snowing/raining in the afternoon so we woke up on Sunday to a winter wonderland. We entertained the kiddos in the home movie theater on Saturday afternoon with Frozen & Toy Story.  Overall it was a success & all the kids got along great!

We hit up some waterfalls on the way home.  Cummin Falls.

What a fun filled month with everybody!  April is the birthday month so we have a lot of excitement coming our way this month.  (Jacob's birthday is a month long celebration cuz of his party & all grandparents coming in town).
