5 Month Update

Here is Jacob at 5 months, with his passy of course.

He's much more active this month and practically wiggles out of your arms when he arches his back with such force.

I'm not sure how much he weighs since we don't have a doctor visit this month.
He is still a chunk and wears 12 month clothes.
He gets an average of a million kisses per day on those big cheeks.

We are giving him rice cereal 2X/day in hopes that he'll sleep better at night. We've gone about a month & a half with him waking up every 3ish hours. That's more than he woke up as a newborn, people! The doc said we could go ahead and transition to rice cereal before 6 months since he was probably waking up from hunger. Hopefully this will help. :)

He can sit up by himself for a little while without assistance, but he falls over after about a minute or so.

He LOVES tummy time when he lifts up on those arms & kicks his legs. He can get one leg up under him so I'm not sure how much longer it will be before he starts crawling.
Chris is encouraging the crawling, I'm not. :)
When he gets mobile, my life will drastically change.

He has such a sweet disposition and is a very happy baby!
Smiling all the time with that big no-teeth, mouth-wide-open grin.
He loves to laugh & cackle throughout the day... sometime for a reason, other times for no reason at all. The other day he thought the football game on TV was hilarious.

This month he has been a champ on some serious road trips...
Lancaster, PA & Robbinsville, NC.

Jacob is very observant and loves to watch anything that moves.

He is so precious and we couldn't ask for a bigger blessing!

So grateful to the Lord for each moment with this little bundle of pure JOY!
