This past weekend we went to see Nana (Chris' grandmother) in Pennsylvania with Ed and Ellen. We had SUCH a great time! They rented a Yukon for the road trip so we could fit all the baby gear that we now travel with, and it was so comfortable. On the way up to Lancaster, we stayed in old Alexandria on Friday night, and I'm officially in love with that town. It's so quaint and beautiful. There is so much history and charm there, and it's super close to Washington, DC. We all know the Hubs LOVES his American history. I could spend dayssss exploring this cute town!

It was so special to see Nana's face as she met her great-grandson. It was priceless. We had 4 generations in one room! She is a lady who loves the Lord immensely and has walked closely with Him for many years. She loves to joke and make people smile. Her memory is fading, but she joyfully talks about her relationship with the Lord all the time. It's the one thing she can always remember. What a treasure!

Jacob did so well on his long road trip! He was asleep 95% of the time in the car. It ended up being a blessing because I think all that sleep helped him fight off the cold he got last week. So proud of our little guy!
We were there to celebrate Nana's 90th birthday! Can you believe that?! She has walked this earth for 90 years. That seems like forever.Yesterday was her actual birthday. Oh how we love Nana. I wish we lived closer so we could spend time with her often and soak up her wisdom.
